Fresh from a long talk over milkshakes with a good friend, I just realized that love comes in all sorts of packages. Personally, I don’t have anything against homosexuality but it breaks my heart to hear such stories… the confusion (in his case) and the angst it leaves in your soul. These are the moments when I question why can’t life be lived based on the principle of live and let live.
But then again, I know God did not design for humanity to be this way. I know he wouldn’t approve of it. How I wish He does. But I would pray more for peace mind for my good buddy. Another question: is wishing and praying for something two different things?

I don’t know if you’re looking for answers here or just some conversation, but there are a lot of people that are “live and let live.” Once your friend comes to terms with his own sexuality he will feel more at ease with both himself and the world around him. People can and will be negative about anything. Anything sex related is still considered partially taboo by a lot of our culture, and homosexuality just deepens that taboo.
As far as wishing and praying…to me wishing is something kind of like an inner monologue. It’s something that you tell yourself you want or need. But praying is something special and personal that is just between you and God.
I guess I’m looking for both..
